Sarah Schwartz is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate who joined Mindful Collaboration in May 2024. Sarah works both in person at our Fayetteville, NC office and virtually. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from The University of Tennessee Knoxville School of Social Work where she also received a certificate in Trauma Treatment. While enrolled at the university, Sarah participated in the School of Social Work’s first Anti-Racism Learning Collaborative, a learning opportunity that engaged students and faculty in racism reduction and anti-oppressive practices.

Sarah has primarily worked with children, adolescents, and young adult populations. She utilizes techniques from play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to inform her practice in treating anxiety, depression, grief, religious trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). She is currently pursuing further education to become a registered play therapist (RPT) as well as training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Sarah has experience in working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings. From in-home care and one-to-one parent coaching to camps and college campuses, she has worked with individuals and families providing education and guidance to help them create the life they want to live. Prior to clinical therapy work, Sarah spent 10 years in the nonprofit sector as a grant writer, donor relations manager, and program evaluator for basic needs agencies, museums, and a medical university.
